Neuropathic Pain

Applying expertise to the management of neuropathic pain.

Neuropathic Pain

Neuropathic pain can occur because of nerve damage from a variety of causes such as stroke, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, pinched nerve from disc herniation or after a herpes zoster infection. The pain is often severe and responds only partially to medications. At CNO we offer clinical evaluation by a pain specialist Dr Poon. Dr Katerine Poon has completed two fellowships in neuropathic pain and is a staff surgeon at the Hull hospital. Non conventional treatments such as botulinum toxin injections, non invasive neuromodulation, and neuro-physiotherapy can also be offered by the clinic to complement your treatments.

Why CNO?

Generated by a lesion or disease of the somatosensory nervous system, neuropathic pain can be particularly disabling and particularly difficult to treat. At CNO, we provide long-term support, clinical and beyond, to patients suffering from neuropathic pain.
