Clinique Neuro - Outaouais

CNO is a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the all encompassing care of people with neurological conditions. Our team is composed of neurologists, clinical and research nurses, physiotherapists, medical assistants and an administration team.

Clinic

Providing a wider breadth of neurological care.

Established in 2000, Clinique Neuro Outaouais (CNO) was formed out of the realization that to offer state-of-the-art care to those with chronic neurological conditions, such as Multiple Sclerosis, requires both a multi-disciplinary approach and access to next generation treatments.

CNO’s foundation is built on a comprehensive model of care, offering a wide range of services including neurological consultations, electrophysiological evaluations, rTMS therapy, neuro-rehabilitation, and, importantly, access to emerging therapies through clinical trials.

At CNO, our focus is always on the patient. We’ve designed our clinic to be fully accessible, welcoming, and comfortable for everyone. From the moment you arrive, our attentive and knowledgeable team is committed to ensuring you feel supported and respected.

We take the time needed with each patient—no one is rushed. We also accommodate urgent and emergency cases, which may occasionally cause delays. As a result, please note that your appointment time may not be the exact time you are seen.

We recommend bringing a book, tablet, or headphones to help make your wait more comfortable.

Multiple Sclerosis

In the past few decades the MS field has witnessed a rapid expansion of new therapies. CNO has been involved for the past 25 years in the development of most of the new therapies for MS. CNO continues to contribute to the field and remains at the forefront of MS clinical research.

Parkinsons Disease

Parkinson’s Disease (PD) is a complex, progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects both the central and peripheral nervous systems. It is marked by the buildup of a protein called alpha-synuclein within brain cells and the gradual loss of dopamine-producing neurons, which are essential for smooth motor control.

Alzheimer's Disease

Alzheimer’s Disease is a progressive and eventually fatal brain disease, responsible for 60-80% of all dementia cases. The disease processes begin decades before the onset of symptoms, making early detection and intervention a priority.

Neuromuscular

Neuromuscular diseases encompass pathologies of the peripheral nerves (diabetic peripheral neuropathy), neuromuscular junction (myasthenia gravis) and muscles (myositis, muscular dystrophy).

Glioblastoma Multiforme

GBM typically presents with headaches, new onset seizures, nausea, vomiting or cognitive dysfunction. Median survival without treatment is approximately six months. Conventional therapy consisting of surgery, radiotherapy, and Temozolomide chemotherapy extends median survival to 14 months.

Stroke Care and Recovery

In Canada, more than 100,000 people suffer a stroke each year, with approximately 14,000 deaths annually, making stroke the third leading cause of death in the country. The risk of having another stroke is about 20% over the following 10 years.
